Welcome
The Messianic Fellowship of Rapid City is a place where people can meet Yeshua (Jesus), engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Yeshua, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Shabbat services!
We have a Bible study at 9am and after Oneg (lunch) we have another study, usually a discussion about the morning message. The discussions are always lively!

The Bible is a cohesive book with everything from Genesis through Revelation tied together. The Bible is meant to be read, studied, discussed and prayed over. The Bible was written in context and culture spread over more than 1600 years, humans under the inspiration of the Spirit of God (or Holy Spirit). It is still relevant today. When you read it, study the context and culture, and apply it to your life, the ancient texts come alive in a new way. It is exciting. It is transformative.
"Be an example to the believers in what you say, how you behave, in love, faith, and holiness. Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, and to teaching." (1 Timothy 4:12b-13)

The Messianic Fellowship of Rapid City is a community of Jewish and Gentile believers in Messiah Yeshua worshiping together in person and online throughout the world. We offer Jewish believers a place to worship without abandoning their Jewish heritage and Gentile believers an opportunity to better know and understand the Messiah in his Jewish context.
- We are guided by the Scriptures
- We are responsive to the Ruach (Spirit of God / Holy Spirit)
- We are engaged with concerns of the Jewish community
- We advocate Yeshua as our Messiah
- We honor the tradition of our faith
We are a Torah-pursuant Fellowship, studying all Scripture and observing the feasts and festivals.
(Matthew 5:17-18, Romans 2:13, Romans 3:31, Romans 7:12, 14, 22, 25)
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass." (Matt. 5:17-18)
"Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)
"Sanctify Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you." (1 Peter 3:15)

A Special Shabbat - August 23
Lori Kate Lowenhar will be with us during the 10am service and will be available to answer any questions before and after service.
Lori says, "After graduating from university, I spent two years traveling with “The Liberated Wailing Wall,” a musical mobile evangelistic team. My parents had always encouraged me to travel the world before settling down, and those years of music and evangelistic training were a season of preparation for what was to come: living in a foreign country, speaking a different language, and raising a family in Israel, God’s Holy Land.
I made my first trip to Israel in December 1996 and felt an immediate and profound connection to the Land during my three-month stay. This connection continued to grow even after I returned home, and by my third trip, I knew Israel would be my permanent home. In 1998, I took a giant leap of faith and moved across the world, solidifying my commitment by becoming an Israeli citizen and getting married!
Living in Israel is an undeniable privilege, and I am incredibly grateful for the countless blessings the Lord has bestowed upon me here. As a result, I am eager to share what the Lord is doing in my life and in the Holy Land. Whether through music or speaking, my goal is to spread God's love and help people deepen their connection to God! I am in the States often to visit my family and speak in women’s groups, conferences or events to encourage and inspire women to dream big, hope unashamedly, seek God fervently, and desire His input in all aspects of their lives."
