The Flood of Renewal

Oct 25, 2025

Genesis is not merely about the fall of humanity, but about God establishing Israel—and by extension, those grafted in—to model divine order to the nations. Through the account of Noah and the Flood, we see God's nature as both righteous Judge (Elohim) and gracious Redeemer (Yahweh). The story reveals that while humanity has an inclination toward evil, God preserves His created order through covenant relationships. This understanding challenges us to move beyond replacement theology and recognize that Torah is not merely law, but divine instruction and wisdom for cultivating righteousness in our hearts. Genesis sets the stage for Israel's ongoing vocation—a priestly calling to bring the message of Messiah to all people—and those of us grafted in share in this mission.
