What Does God Expect From You?

Abraham's journey is to be God's chosen vessel to bless all nations. This message examines his character through the lens of hospitality, justice, and empathy. Abraham is at his best—interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah, generously hosting three visitors including the Lord Himself—and at his worst—sending Hagar and Ishmael into the wilderness with minimal provisions. Through the contrasting narratives of Ishmael's near-death and Isaac's binding, we discover that God sometimes places us in situations where we experience what others have felt through our actions, teaching us empathy and consistency in righteousness. God expects us to practice justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him, applying these principles consistently to all people, not just those we favor.
